AceShowbiz - "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows" has been premiered at the Regency Village Theatre, California on Tuesday night, December 6. Among the cast members that stole the spotlight at the special screening event were lead actor Robert Downey Jr. and co-star Rachel McAdams.

Robert looked sleek in a three-piece brown suit and tinted glasses. He was spotted arriving together with his pregnant wife Susan Downey, who showed off her baby bump in a sequin little black dress. The married couple were inseparable as they hit the black carpet.

Rachel, meanwhile, became the belle of the ball with her glamorous look. The 33-year-old actress dazzled in a backless floor-length tailed dress by Marchesa that she paired with Jacqueline Nerguizian jewelry and a pair of Christian Louboutin heels. She finished off her look with a simple but elegant hairdo.

Other cast members seen on the black carpet were Noomi Rapace and Jared Harris. Noomi, who plays Gypsy woman Sim in the film, looked gorgeous in sleeveless lace dress that she paired with big earrings. Jared, who tackles villainous Moriarty, opted for a traditional two-piece black suit. Also spotted attending the premiere was director Guy Ritchie, who oozed his masculinity in a brown suit completed with a blue shirt and a bowtie.

Among the celebrity guests on the night were blond beauty Amber Heard and model Jacqui Ainsley. The former kept it simple with a sleeveless white top and a black pants, while the latter brought color to the black carpet by sporting a daring red gown. Hip-hop star Pharrell Williams and veteran actress Jodie Foster were also present.

"Sherlock Holmes 2" follows the famous quirky-mannered detective as he continues his pursuit of Professor Moriarty, whom he suspects to be the world's number one supervillain. In his attempt to solve the case, he gets the help from his long trusted partner Dr. Watson, his older brother Mycroft Holmes, and a gypsy woman named Sim.

The sequel to 2009's "Sherlock Holmes" is also supported by Jude Law, Stephen Fry, Kelly Reilly, Eddie Marsan, Gilles Lellouche, Geraldine James and William Houston. It will open wide in U.S. theaters on December 16.
