AceShowbiz - Angelina Jolie could team up with acclaimed French director Luc Besson in her next movie. The long-time partner of Brad Pitt has been eyed to star in a yet-to-be-titled big scale movie, which will be written and directed by the director of Aung San Suu Kyi biopic "The Lady".

Deadline reported that Jolie already has some serious talks with Besson. Though details of the untitled movie are still kept secret, it is said that the film is a "dramatic thriller that is rooted in true scientific elements." The project is planned to start shooting in the spring of 2012.

The untitled Luc Besson project is expected to be Jolie's next starring vehicle before she teams up with Ridley Scott in a biopic about a pioneering female figure in the Middle East, "Gertrude Bell". It is reported that both movies will likely be developed at the same studio.

Jolie's other projects include "Maleficent", a revisionist take on the Sleeping Beauty tale, and an untitled Kay Scarpetta project, which is an adaptation of Patricia Cornwell's best-selling novel series. Meanwhile, her directorial and screenwriting debut "In the Land of Blood and Honey" will be released in limited U.S. theaters on December 23.
