Lupe Fiasco Announces 2011 'Lasers' Tour Dates

The 'Words I Never Said' rapper makes it up to his fans for his canceled gig at SXSW by announcing tour dates across North America.

is coming to a city near you in North America starting March 27. The rapper will kick off the traveling show at DUB car show in L.A. Convention Center and follows it up with another show at Duke University in Durham, NC four days later.

Fiasco will stay on the road until May, wrapping it up on date 11 at Bates College - Grey Gym in Lewiston, ME. In his tour stop at Roseland Ballroom in New York, the 29-year-old MC is scheduled to perform a two-night concert on April 24 and 25.

This tour announcement comes out on the heels of his reign on Billboard Hot 200. His latest studio album "" soared to the top spot by selling more than 204,000 copies in its opening week. It marked his first No. 1 album and his best sales week so far.

Beside promoting the newly-released album, the tour also becomes some kind of his make-up dates with his fans after he pulled out of South By Southwest (SXSW) Music Festival this week. "dr still has me on voice rest...won't be (at) sxsw," he informed them at that time.
