Elton John Is Not Yet Asked to Be on 'Glee'

Elton revealed when attending the premiere of 'Gnomeo and Juliet' in Los Angeles that he is not yet fitted into any of the story.

AceShowbiz - Although he has collaborated with the star, Elton John is yet to be asked to appear on "Glee". The Grammy-winning singer recently hit the recording studio with Matthew Morrison who plays Mr. Schue on the musical series, and he admitted that neither creator Ryan Murphy nor the producers have asked him to guest star.

Many artists like Damon Albarn refused to get involved with the Golden Globe winning show but when asked by E! Online about him, Elton said, "I love Glee!". With that in mind, it is questionable why he has not popped up on the FOX show yet. "I would love to be on Glee, but you have to be asked to be on Glee," he admitted.

Elton has struck a close friendship with Matthew after recording some songs for Matthew's solo album. But the "Glee" star apparently wanted to keep it strictly about his music career. "No!" Elton said with a laugh when asked whether Matthew asked him to come on board. "I mean, there's more people than him on the show."

Matthew Morrison's not-yet-titled album would be released next month. "I did a duet of 'Mona Lisas and Madhatters' and 'Rocket Man' with him last Monday and that's going to come out in the spring and it sounds brilliant," Elton dished out.
