Eminem Tops MTV's Hottest MCs in the Game, Nicki Minaj Debuts at No. 6

In between the Slim Shady and the Young Money femcee, there are Jay-Z, Kanye West, Drake and Rick Ross in a respective order.

After getting snubbed by MTV on its 2009 Hottest MCs in the Game, returns big this year by landing at No. 1 on the list. The Slim Shady makes it to the top spot due to the success of his latest studio installment "" which went double platinum after just eight weeks on sale.

"Something about Em this time around, you don't feel like he's following some type of formula," MTV Jams' Tuma Basa said. "He didn't come out with that corny Slim Shady record. This time, he came like, 'I came to play.' And the records have this motivational anthemic type [of feel] we haven't seen in him. He's stepping into a new space."
