The 'Public Enemies' star is said interested in the role and the idea of working with the 'Da Vinci Code' actor, but he has to work out his scheduling issues first.

AceShowbiz - After scoring an Oscar, Kathryn Bigelow is eying A-list actors to join her upcoming movie "Triple Frontier". The helmer is reportedly courting Johnny Depp to star opposite Tom Hanks, who has been earlier linked to project, Deadline Hollywood reports.
"Triple Frontier", which some refer to as "Sleeping Dogs", has five main roles but there are two major leads which could be offered to Depp and Hanks. Depp is additionally said interested in the role and the idea of teaming up with the "Cast Away" actor, but he has to manage his scheduling issues before confirming his participation in the drama.
According to Deadline, "Triple Frontier" is scheduled to begin filming in February 2011. At the same time, Depp is expected to start working on Tim Burton's "Dark Shadows".
"Triple Frontier" revolves around five men of various ages working in triple frontier border zone between Paraguay, Argentina and Brazil. The area is reportedly a haven for organized crime, with one outlet for the money produced in the area being a source of funding for terrorist groups. Mark Boal, who provided the script for Bigelow's Oscar-winning movie "The Hurt Locker", writes the screenplay for the upcoming film.
After wrapping up "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides", Johnny Depp already has several projects lining up for him such as "Wild Roses, Tender Roses" and "The Lone Ranger". Meanwhile, Tom Hanks is attached to star in "Cloud Atlas" and reprise his role as Robert Langdon in "The Lost Symbol".
