Jon Hamm Compares Reality Shows to Porns

The Don Draper of 'Mad Men' has no respect to reality show stars out there, branding them as people with 'zero dignity'.

AceShowbiz - Jon Hamm cringes at the sight of reality shows, slamming those who star in such TV programs as having "zero dignity". In a new interview with Details magazine, the "Mad Men" star said, "LA represents opportunity. And, as has been proven over and over in the current media landscape, it doesn't take much for them to put you on TV."

Hamm takes the example of "The Bachelor" and "The Real Housewives" franchise as the ones which show "oversized personalities, ridiculous behavior, and zero dignity." The Emmy winner even compares reality stars to porn stars who crave for attention and disregard the art of acting.

"When you try to learn how to act, you approach it with respect," he said. "But if you just want to be famous ...that's not that much different than porn. 'I'm a movie star!' Well, no, you're not. You're a porn star, and that's completely different. And you know, hey, mazel tov - porn probably built half the houses out here, but you're selling your dignity in a way that I feel I'm not. And once you sell it, it's gone. You ain't getting it back."

But at the ripe age of 39, Hamm has respect for young stars like Miley Cyrus and Robert Pattinson. "I don't know how the 'Twilight' kids or Miley Cyrus or whoever handle it," he said to the mag's October issue. "You f*** up, make one bad decision, and people in Thailand Twitter about it. I'm old, I'm boring. I usually just duck the paparazzi."
