Video: Lady GaGa Thanks Little Monsters for Her Twitter Crown
Celebrity

After overtaking Britney Spears as the star with the highest amount of followers on Twitter, the 'Poker Face' singer posts a video to show her gratitude towards her fans for following her.

AceShowbiz - Lady GaGa has landed a new title, the queen of Twitter. The 24-year-old eccentric singer has dethroned Britney Spears' crown after surpassing her 5,705,684 Twitter followers. GaGa overtook Spears' title with her 5,734,532 followers.

Thanking her little monsters, GaGa posted a video on her micro-blogging site on Saturday, August 21. Wearing a white-witch hat with Twitter logo and its bird symbol, GaGa, who also completed her look with a white fur coat and wacky glasses, said, "Hello world, this is Lady GaGa, queen of Twitter."

"I wanted to thank all my beautiful little monsters for following me. Thank you for beginning my reign as Twitter queen," GaGa continued as she flung her magic wand which sprinkled silver glitters. "May you always have soft cuticles while tweeting. May you never have carpal tunnel."

"I vow never to partake in celebrity online shenanigans. And I vow to always tweet and tweet again," GaGa said wistfully. The "Alejandro" singer ended her gratitude with words of wisdom, stating "Just remember that I love you. And love you yourself. Because little monsters, you were born that way, baby. I love you Twitter. See you at the Monster Ball."

Britney Spears, in the meantime, was dubbed the most popular celebrity on Twitter back in May. She, at the time, overtook Ashton Kutcher's crown of the highest amount of followers after landing 4,955,768 followers. Just like Lady GaGa, Spears also thanked her fans for following her, tweeting "This is really amazing! I love you all! U guys make me sooo happy (sic)."
