Terri Colombino, Mick Hazen, and more paid their last respect to the daytime show that ran for 54 years and ends next month.

AceShowbiz - Before "As the World Turns" concludes its run on September 17, the stars would like to have one final celebration. Terri Colombino, Mick Hazen, Austin Peck, Eileen Fulton and others joined executive producer Christopher Goutman at The Paley Center for Media on Wednesday, August 18 night for a farewell party.

After more than 5 decades on television, "As the World Turns" which catapulted the career of Julianne Moore, is coming to an end. CBS announced the cancellation based on the declining rating. The producers also failed to secure a new home for the soap drama.

However, new beginnings would mark the end of the daytime series with the weddings, reconciliations and reunions. "We're trying to bring a 54-year-old show to a satisfactory and emotional wrap-up and to call it difficult would be the understatement of the century," Goutman told TV Guide. He later confirmed, "Barbara and Henry will finally make it to the altar. ...Their wedding will help heal the incredibly dysfunctional Ryan family and expunge the ghost of James Stenbeck once and for all."

Carly and Jack will also wed while a level of understanding between Katie and Chris as well as Luke and Noah would be part of the good endings.
