First Trailer for 'Scott Pilgrim vs. the World' Comes Out

Not only exposing the romantic moment between Scott Pilgrim and Ramona Flowers, but also the video has dramatic scenes where the bass guitarist fights her evil exes.

After teasing through several stills, Universal Pictures has generously shared some footage from "" by debuting the first trailer. Making its way out via Apple, the video is opened with a romantic moment between Scott Pilgrim and his love interest Ramona Flowers.

The video then jumps to capture Scott's great efforts to win Ramona's heart by beating her seven ex-boyfriends. From the trailer, it can be seen that the movie will likely stick to the comic books as the battle scenes are pictured in a dramatic way.

Based on Bryan Lee O'Malley's comic book series entitled "Scott Pilgrim", the film follows jobless Scott Pilgrim who falls in love with Ramona Flowers. Never having problems of getting a girlfriend before, this time the young slacker finds out that he must defeat her seven evil ex-boyfriends to win his true love.

Johnny Simmons, , Allison Pill and Mark Webber also join the cast with , who has been cast as the lead actor in "The First Avenger: Captain America", playing one of Ramona's evil exes. This action comedy will open wide in theaters across the U.S. on August 13.
