AceShowbiz - After peeling off Serena, Blair and Chuck's fashion sense, wardrobe supervisor of "Gossip Girl", Eric Daman, gives what's the deal with Jenny Humphrey in the third season. From being a rebel to coming true to herself, the character played by Taylor Momsen will make a transition from Cherie Currie to 'a little bit of everything'.
Jenny will replace her Goth style with a mix match of Brooklyn and Upper East Side. Now that her father is set to marry Lily van der Woodsen, Jenny finds herself in a more luxurious lifestyle. Thus she no longer makes her own clothes but rather spends money on the dresses. Without walking away from her rock and roll root, she would prefer something like a gown with snake skin patterns. Daman also emphasizes the fact that Jenny always loves black and gray.
As for her day look, Jenny will remind people of Courtney Love in the '90s with her slip-dresses. Daman admits to have been inspired by Molly Ringwald in the silk piece which has colorful hearts print on it. Regarding whether or not she will embody Blair's style now that she is the queen bee of the high school, Daman says no. Jenny will come into herself and will not wear Blair's signature headbands.
"Gossip Girl" premieres on Monday, September 14 with the episode "Reversals of Fortune". Joanna Garcia makes her debut as Nate's new love interest, Bree Buckley.
