Decision to postpone the production start for The CW's new drama reportedly is taken not due to Mischa Barton's meltdown, but rather because some of the sets for the show were not completed on time.

AceShowbiz - Mischa Barton's upcoming drama series "The Beautiful Life: TBL" is facing a delay. According to The Hollywood Reporter (THR), the start of production for the newest television series by The CW network has been pushed back a week from its original schedule on Wednesday, July 22, to Friday, July 31.
Explaining the reason behind the postponing of the production, the publication ruled out Barton's widely publicized meltdown which resulted on her being placed under an involuntary psychiatric hold at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Instead, THR claimed insiders have pointed out that the delay happened because some of the sets for the show were not completed on time.
"The Beautiful Life: TBL" revolves around a group of male and female models living together in a coed residence in New York. In the series, Mischa Barton is set to portray a supermodel and veteran of the high-fashion circuit who is struggling to keep on top and is in danger of slipping. Sara Paxton, Corbin Bleu and Elle Macpherson among others join the star of "The O.C." in the cast ensemble.
Executive produced by Ashton Kutcher, the new series is based on the script by former model-turned-writer Adam Giaudrone, and its pilot is scheduled to be premiered on September 16 behind "America's Next Top Model". The CW has ordered thirteen episodes for the first season.
