Miley Cyrus and Others Tapped to Sing at 2009 ACM Awards

Miley Cyrus, Reba McEntire, Lady Antebellum, John Rich, Lee Ann Womack and Jamey Johnson are the latest musicians announced to sing at 2009 Academy of Country Music Awards.

AceShowbiz - Miley Cyrus has been appointed as one of the performers at this year's Academy of Country Music Awards. The pop singer is scheduled to sing "The Climb", the soundtrack of her upcoming movie "Hannah Montana: The Movie", at the event to be held on April 5.

Other musicians set to make live appearances at the annual awards include Reba McEntire, Lady Antebellum, John Rich, Lee Ann Womack and Jamey Johnson. They will join previously-announced musical guests such as Taylor Swift, Toby Keith, Rascal Flatts, Sugarland, Miranda Lambert, Heidi Newfield, Trace Adkins and Tim McGraw.

The 44th annual Academy of Country Music Awards will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. In addition to making a live performance, Reba McEntire will also make a hosting job at the event to be aired live on CBS at 8 P.M. ET/PT.

Prior to the gala ceremony of 2009 Academy of Country Music Awards, free concerts will be held at the Fremont Street Experience in Las Vegas. Jason Aldean will sing at the gig on April 3 along with Jake Owen, Julianne Hough and Matt Stillwell, while LeAnn Rimes will entertain music lovers the next day at the same venue with Kellie Pickler, Zac Brown Band and Gloriana.
