The 20th Century Fox have released a brand new series of "Max Payne" stills for fans' enjoyment. The fresh photos give out a closer look into some of the characters, including Mark Wahlberg's Max Payne, Mila Kunis' Mona Sax, Olga Kurylenko's Natasha, Amaury Nolasco's Jack Lupino, Chris O'Donnell's Jason Colvin, Ludacris' Jim Bravure and Nelly Furtado's Christa Balder.

The pictures also hint some plot spoilers, letting out parts of the flick's scenes, such as when Payne attempts to console Balder who is the wife of Max's slain ex-partner, when Payne confronts drug kingpin Lupino with Natasha holding on his hand and when Payne takes cover in a small hallway. Other than that, several of the images also present the winged demon from up close.

Telling the story of a vengeful cop, "Max Payne" follows the titular character as he falls into a nightmarish journey into a dark underworld, where he has to fight enemies beyond the natural world, while tracking down people behind the brutal murder of his family and partner. Directed by John Moore from the script by Beau Thorne, the flick is a live-action film based on popular 2001 video game of the same name. It will come out in theaters on October 17.
