No explanation given for Bob Erhard Duff's early prison release, but his lawyer said that he said "Hallelujah!" upon his release from prison on Thursday, August 28.

AceShowbiz - Bob Erhard Duff, the father of actress-singer Hilary Duff, is a prisoner no more. He has been released from prison just one day after a judge sentenced him to 10 days behind bars for violating an injunction against selling assets without court's approval concerning his current divorce battle with ex-wife and mother of his daughters, Susan Colleen Cobb. Bob was released from jail on Thursday, August 28.

A representative for Bob told US Weekly that he said "Hallelujah!" upon his release from prison. No words on the reason for Bob's early prison release.

Bob and Susan are currently in the middle of a two-and-a half-year divorce battle. In a hearing in family court on Wednesday, August 27, she asked for him to be ordered to pay $25,000 cash to her for a present and birthday party for Hilary who's going to turn 21 years old on September 28.

During the hearing, however, the judge found out that he has illegally sold stocks in July without the court's consent. Being accused for contempt of court, Bob thus was ordered to hand over the $367,537 he earned from selling the stocks to a court repository which will be in charge to hold the cash while his and Susan's divorce battle keeps rolling. And in addition to his 10-days jail sentence, the judge also ordered him to pay $12,500 to Susan for Hilary's birthday.
