Marsha Garces Williams, the wife of famous actor-comedian Robin Williams, filed for divorce against hubby.

AceShowbiz - Divorce is on the card for Robin Williams as his second wife Marsha Garces has filed for divorce from him, citing irreconcilable differences. Legal papers were filed in San Francisco Superior Court last Friday, March 21, after almost 19 years of marriage.

Robin and Marsha first met when she worked as a nanny for him and his previous wife, Valerie Velardi, taking care of their son, Zachary. Marsha then went on to work as Robin's personal assistant before marrying the star in April 1989.

Robin and Marsha, who are parents to daughter Zelda Rae and son Cody Alan, often worked together, finding Blue Wolf Productions. Marsha was a producer on "Mrs. Doubtfire" and "Patch Adams." They also created the Windfall Foundation and worked with the secular humanitarian-aid non-governmental organization Doctors Without Borders.

According to the petition obtained by E! News, the couple separated on New Year's Eve. Marsha is seeking sole physical custody of Cody, with Robin being permitted visitation rights.

Robin's representative confirms the split, but gives no additional information. Calls to Marsha's attorney, meanwhile, have not been returned.
