More and more acts are confirmed to take the stage on thge 50th Grammy Awards gala that will take place on February 10.

AceShowbiz - The 50th Annual Grammy Awards is shaping up with the announcement of more performers. Rihanna, Carrie Underwood, Aretha Franklin and Mary J. Blige have been confirmed to take the stage on February 10, to perform their pieces.

Blige is slated to perform a gospel segment with Franklin who is named 2008 MusicCares Person of the Year, the Madison Bumblebees, the Clark Sisters, Israel And New Breed, and Trin-I-Tee 5:7. Meanwhile, Rihanna too will not be alone on the stage for a duet is scheduled with '80s funk-rock band The Time who are reuniting for the occasion.

They will join the already announced line-up, Beyonce Knowles and Foo Fighters. The former reportedly will give a duet with Tina Turner who is waking up from her retirement, while the latter are scheduled to perform with 20 unsigned musicians in an orchestra arranged by Led Zeppelin's John Paul Jones.

The Recording Academy that owns the Grammys has successfully prevented the gala to be canceled due to the writers' strike. The event will be broadcast by CBS in HDTV, XM Sattelite Radio and Grammy.com live from Staples Center, Los Angeles.

Other acts like Amy Winehouse, Janet Jackson and Kanye West are still rumored to appear as performers.
