HBO Leads Golden Globes' TV Nominations with 18 Nods

HBO leads the 65th annual Golden Globes' TV nominations, taking in 18 nods all at once.

AceShowbiz - The nominations for the upcoming 65th annual Golden Globe Awards are in already. With "Atonement" gains the most nominations in movie category, taking in a total of 7, the TV category is dominated by HBO, leading the pack with 18 nods.

The premium television programming subsidiary of Time Warner is up for such categories as Best Television Series - Drama for "Big Love," Best Performance by an Actress In A Television Series - Drama for Edie Falco of "The Sopranos", Best Performance by an Actor In A Television Series - Drama for Bill Paxton of "Big Love" and Best Television Series - Musical Or Comedy for both "Entourage" and "Extras".

Broadcast network ABC is the other big nominee, with its hit medical drama "Grey's Anatomy" vying for two categories, they are Best Television Series - Drama and Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television for Katherine Heigl.

The network, meanwhile, also sees its other programs including "Brothers & Sisters", "Pushing Daisies", "Ugly Betty", "Boston Legal" and "Dirty Sexy Money" among the many nominees.

Most of the remaining nominees for the 2008 Golden Globes go to Fox's "House" and NBC's "30 Rock."

The 65th annual Golden Globe Awards, reportedly to be seen in more than 150 countries worldwide, will be telecast live on NBC Television on January 13, 2008 at 8 P.M. EST.
