Christopher Lee's Gentleman Ghost and other supernatural characters featured in Tim Burton's "Sweeney Todd" have all been cut from the movie.

AceShowbiz - Apparently the supernatural beings won't make appearance at all in "Sweeney Todd."
According to Playbill, the ghost characters intended to be featured in the movie have been cut from the reels, including one portrayed by veteran actor Christopher Lee, the Gentleman Ghost. DreamWorks SKG as the company producing the musical thriller drama reportedly has confirmed the information.
"It would have been worse if I had done the scenes, but I never got to film them," Lee informed London's Telegraph. "It's a shame as the lyrics were wonderful, but these things happen."
Lee's role previously raised the eyebrows of many upon the announcement of the cast lineup since the stage musical the project is adapted from actually does not have such character.
Set to open in limited theaters on December 21, 2007 before expanding on January 11, 2008, "Sweeney Todd" centers on the titular character, a wrongfully imprisoned barber in Victorian England who sets out to seek revenge on the judge who imprisoned him. Handling helming task is renowned filmmaker Tim Burton with John Logan penning the script also producing alongside Laurie MacDonald, Walter F. Parkes, and Richard D. Zanuck.
