Warner Home Video, in association with Village Roadshow Pictures, will release two new definitive high definition DVD collections of the "Matrix" trilogy on May 22, 2007.

AceShowbiz - All "Matrix" fans out there, do mark tour calendar on date 22 this month for that day will witness the arrival of both "The Ultimate Matrix Collection" and "The Complete Matrix Trilogy", two new definitive high definition DVD collections, set to be released by Warner Home Video and Village Roadshow Pictures.

Available for $119.99 SRP, "The Ultimate Matrix Collection" contains, for the first time, all three HD DVD versions of the series with over thirty-five hours of bonus material in five double-sided discs. Apart from the trilogy, fans can also enjoy "Animatrix & The Roots of the Matrix" and "Burly Man Chronicles & The Zion Archive" in the fourth and fifth disc, respectively.

As for "The Complete Matrix Trilogy", the package, available for $99.99 SRP, features the HD DVD versions of all three "Matrix" films in a three-disc set which will perfectly suits new and current fans of the series who just intend to watch the pictures in high-definition format.

Consisting of "The Matrix", "The Matrix Reloaded", and "The Matrix Revolutions", "Matrix" trilogy chronicle the journey of a young computer programmer as he embraces his true identity and throws himself in a war between human and machine. All three are in the top ten best-selling sci-fi films of all time with the first winning four Academy Awards for technical categories in 2000.
