Brendan Fraser Dips Hands into
Movie

Brendan Fraser will star in an adaptation of a children novel entitled "Inkheart."

AceShowbiz - Adding one more big screen project into his resume, Brendan Fraser has reached a deal to have a starring role in "Inkheart", an adaptation of the Cornelia Funke's best-selling children's novel, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

A production of New Line Cinema, pic will likely to stay true to the book's story which follows the journey of a girl as she tries to save her kidnapped father who has an ability to bring characters from books to life. Fraser will portray the father, Mortimer "Mo" Folchart or known more as Silvertongue under the direction of "The Skeleton Key" helmer Iain Softley. Playwright David Lindsay-Abaire is set to write the adaptation with Funke and Ileen Maisel seating as producers.

Last seen on the big screen playing Sandra Bullock's husband in Oscar-winning picture "Crash", Fraser recently wrapped up "The Air I Breathe" for NALA Films LLC and "The Last Time" for Element Films. His other upcoming film projects include "Journey to the End of the Night" alongside Mos Def and "Singularity" opposite Aishwarya Rai.
