The High Note is an upcoming American musical comedy-drama film directed by Nisha Ganatra from a screenplay by Flora Greeson. The film stars Dakota Johnson, Tracee Ellis Ross, Kelvin Harrison Jr., and Ice Cube. The film follows Maggie (Johnson), a young woman who dreams of becoming a music producer. She gets her chance when she is assigned to work with Grace Davis (Ross), a legendary R&B singer. Together, they must overcome their differences and work together to create a new album.
