My Salinger Year is a 2020 American drama film directed by Philip Falardeau, who co-wrote the screenplay with Darryl Ponicsan, based on Joanna Rakoff's 2014 memoir of the same name. The film stars Sigourney Weaver, Margaret Qualley, Douglas Booth, Seána Kerslake, and Colm Feore. It follows a young woman who takes a job as an assistant to J. D. Salinger in 1995. In this clip, "Boy from Winston Salem," the young woman meets with a boy from Winston Salem who claims to be Salinger's son.
