The Angry Birds Movie 2 is an upcoming 2019 American 3D computer-animated comedy film produced by Rovio Animation and distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing. It is the sequel to the 2016 film The Angry Birds Movie. The film is directed by Thurop Van Orman and stars Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Danny McBride, Bill Hader, and Peter Dinklage. In the film, the birds and pigs must team up to stop Zeta, an Arctic tern who is trying to take over their island. The film is set to be released in the United States on August 16, 2019.
