The Wandering Earth is an upcoming Chinese science fiction film directed by Frant Gwo and starring Qu Chuxiao, Li Guangjie, and Ng Man-tat. The film is based on the novel of the same name by Liu Cixin and tells the story of a group of astronauts who are tasked with moving the Earth out of the path of an incoming star. The film is set in the year 2075, when the sun is nearing the end of its lifespan and is about to engulf the Earth. The astronauts must use a giant engine to move the Earth to a new star system, but they face many challenges along the way.
