**Shazam!** is an upcoming American superhero film based on the DC Comics character of the same name. The film is directed by David F. Sandberg and written by Henry Gayden and Darren Lemke. It stars Zachary Levi as Shazam, a teenager who can transform into the adult superhero Shazam, along with Mark Strong, Jack Dylan Grazer, Asher Angel, Faithe Herman, Grace Fulton, and Djimon Hounsou. In the film, Billy Batson, a 14-year-old orphan, is granted the power to transform into an adult superhero by the ancient wizard Shazam. Billy must learn to master his powers in order to defeat the evil Dr. Thaddeus Sivana.
