The Prodigy is an English electronic music group formed in Braintree, Essex, in 1990. The group consists of Liam Howlett, Keith Flint, Leeroy Thornhill, and Maxim Reality. They are known for their energetic live performances and their fusion of dance music with punk and rock elements. In 1996, they released the music video for their song "Firestarter," which became a global hit. The video features the band performing the song in a warehouse, while interspersed with scenes of a young boy being chased by a group of masked men. The video was directed by Walter Stern and won the MTV Video Music Award for Best Dance Video in 1997.
