The Fosters is an American family drama television series created by Peter Paige and Bradley Bredeweg that premiered on ABC Family (now Freeform) on June 3, 2013. The series follows the lives of the Foster family, a blended family of biological and adopted children, and their experiences with adoption, foster care, and parenting. The fifth season of The Fosters premiered on Freeform on June 5, 2017, and the fourteenth episode of the season, titled "Prom," aired on August 14, 2017. The episode featured a preview of the season finale, which aired on August 21, 2017.
