"The Carmichael Show" is an American sitcom created by Jerrod Carmichael, Ari Katcher, and Nick Stoller for NBC. The series stars Carmichael as a fictionalized version of himself, along with Amber Stevens West, David Alan Grier, Loretta Devine, and Lil Rel Howery. The show follows Carmichael and his family as they navigate the ups and downs of everyday life while also tackling tough issues such as race, relationships, and politics. In the preview for episode 3.04, titled "The Gift", Carmichael and his father are at odds over a Christmas gift that Carmichael bought for his nephew. The episode also features a guest appearance by Cedric the Entertainer.
