Released in 2016, "Queen of Katwe" is a biographical sports drama film based on the life of Ugandan chess prodigy Phiona Mutesi. The movie tells the story of Mutesi's rise from a slum in Katwe, Uganda, to becoming a world-renowned chess player. As the tension mounts, Phiona's coach, Robert Katende (David Oyelowo), encourages her to "never surrender."
