The Forest is an upcoming horror film directed by Jason Zada and starring Natalie Dormer, Eoin Macken, Taylor Kinney, Yukiyoshi Ozawa, and Rina Takeda. The film is based on the novel of the same name by Sarah Pinborough. The film follows Sara (Dormer), a young American woman who journeys to Japan's Aokigahara Forest, also known as the "suicide forest", in search of her twin sister Jess (also played by Dormer), who mysteriously disappeared there. As she ventures deeper into the forest, Sara encounters terrifying supernatural forces. The film was released in the United States on January 8, 2016.
