Brooklyn is a 2015 Irish-Canadian-British drama film directed by John Crowley and written by Nick Hornby, based on the 2009 novel of the same name by Colm Tóibín. The film stars Saoirse Ronan as an Irish immigrant who moves to Brooklyn in the 1950s. The film follows her as she struggles to adjust to her new life while also dealing with the challenges of being an Irish Catholic woman in a predominantly Protestant society.
