The Frankenstein Chronicles is a British television series based on the Frankenstein mythos. This series is based on a concept created by Benjamin Ross and Barry Langford. The series premiered on ITV Encore on 11 November 2015. The first series consists of six episodes. The series stars Sean Bean as John Marlott, who is a river police inspector in 1827 London. After a body is found in the Thames, Marlott begins to investigate and soon discovers that the body is that of a young woman who has been murdered and then reanimated.
