Danny implements his three-day dating plan on recent bar regular Sophie, working his way up to the inevitable moment where she gives in to his calculated gazes from afar. As he relays this to the gang, Justin mentions that he's too late - Sophie has a crush on him. Danny shrugs this off as impossible, but Justin holds his ground. This spurs a clear competition for Sophie's attention that culminates when she comes to the bar the next day - and in a total shock, asks Danny if Justin is available!
Meanwhile, Burski basks in the glory of his super-high rating on Studs Score, a Lulu-like app that women use to review men. The gang reels in shock, and he later confides his secret to Leslie - when he has sex (a rare occurrence), he prefers to focus on the lady and not himself. In nothing short of a miracle, she agrees to a date with him - at which point he admits that he juiced the ratings himself... and she confesses that she already knew and the gang planned to surprise Burski at her apartment. Despite the failure, Burski vows that he and Leslie will have a love story, and one day he will be ready for her.
Justin's victory over Danny boosts Justin's confidence, and everyone agrees on his true charm: the fact he'd do anything for the woman he loves (in this case, Nicki). However, Danny notices a few small clues that Nicki might not feel the same way about Justin - she landed a new job; her mom is making her feel guilty and, perhaps worst of all, she now works with an ex-male model. Danny expresses his concern, but Justin misreads the gesture as another one of Danny's attempts to belittle him in a moment of success.
Danny's persistence eventually results in Justin reaching out to Nicki on speakerphone and learning (in front of the whole bar) that Nicki will not return to Detroit as promised; she wants to take a break. Devastated, Justin lashes out at Danny for a lack of reciprocity in their friendship and always being right. Later, Danny consoles his depressed friend and even allows Justin to (briefly) snuggle on the couch. Even though Justin lost Nicki, Danny assures him that he's got his back. And for once, it looks like Danny really means it.
