Danny and Justin wake up in the middle of the night to find their entire apartment flooded with light from next door. They argue about the best way to handle the situation and eventually agree to confront Kevin, their neighbor, about the nuisance. But when Kevin inspects their brightly lit room, he refuses to turn off his lights and reveals why - he grows (and sells) pot. He then mocks Danny and Justin for complaining like a married couple and leaves with a flourish. This only incites Danny to escalate the issue by breaking into Kevin's apartment and stealing his lights. Kevin responds by threatening revenge on his neighbors and leaves Justin (who had no part in Danny's theft) and Danny fearing for their lives.
In order to avoid a terrifying turf war, Justin goes behind Danny's back and invites Kevin over to the apartment to return his lights and negotiate a treaty. But Danny returns before the Kevin leaves and, once again, Kevin provokes Danny's competitive side. The two engage in an intense, non-touching karate fight to settle their differences, only to end up exhausted with no true winner. Kevin leaves with his lights and Danny returns to the bar frustrated with Justin's lack of loyalty. Danny expresses his disappointment, highlighted by Sabrina's continued bitterness regarding their past relationship.
In response, Justin and Leslie visit Kevin's apartment and create a distraction while the rest of the gang steals his lights again - and turn them on Kevin's living room! They tease him from the window, but soon it's clear neither side harbors ill will. Leslie asks Kevin to call her, and Shelly comes by to bond over a plate of his "magical" brownies.
