Love is in the air! Mode's Wedding Issue inspires a real wedding and a proposal. Maybe Grammy-winning guest star Adele's love songs have something to do with it.
Today is Betty's Annual Performance Review. She's gonna ask Daniel for a promotion to Editor. Do you think she'll get it? Matt mentions that after their YETI final project, the big job offers should be rolling in.
Hilda knocks over Elena's purse. She can't help but read the letter that fell out. Elena has been offered a Nursing Educator position at the Chula Vista Nursing School in California. Hilda is pissed and confronts Elena. If Elena doesn't tell Ignacio about this, Hilda will.
Daniel goes over Betty's review. Punctuation – Excellent. Initiative – Excellent. She's a shoo-in. Meanwhile, Mark is being reviewed by Wilhelmina. Betty and Mark both want Editor positions. But Hartley is enforcing a hiring freeze. No one gets a promotion unless someone leaves the company or dies.
Cal Hartley isn't happy with the black wedding gowns Wilhelmina picked out for the Mode Wedding Issue and tells her, "You don't have to take my ideas. Of course, you did take my money." When Claire walks in, Hartley asks her opinion. Claire thinks black in a fashion magazine is cliché. She suggests color. Cal agrees and insists Wilhelmina work with Claire. You know the claws are gonna come out over this.
Molly visits Daniel at MODE. She's so excited to see the giant sign with "Will you marry me?" Daniel feels awkward telling her that the sign is for the Wedding Issue. Molly plays it off but she seems disappointed.
Betty, Matt and Marc are teamed up for their final YETI project: a feature article and photo shoot that combines music with get this, physical sciences. How are they going to do that? Marc wants to kick Matt off the team for showing up late for meetings but Betty defends Matt.
Daniel tells Claire about the "Will you marry Me" mix up with Molly. He wants to give her a ring but can't find the right one. Claire gives Daniel her own ring, "When the time is right, you give that to Molly." He immediately walks out onto the balcony where Molly is standing and proposes. It's so sweet!!!
Ignacio is really sad that Elena might be moving. Justin gives him advice from Beyoncé's song, "If you like it, then you shoulda put a ring on it." Justin, Hilda and Betty do the famous hand gesture too. Hilarious!
Marc gushes to Betty "Oh my god, you are not gonna believe it. Two-time Grammy Award winning English songbird Adele agreed to do our shoot!" Betty is thrilled. Matt admits that he couldn't get the planetarium.
Marc's pissed, "It is too late. Lives are at stake. We are voting him off the island. He is the weakest link. Auf Wiedersehen! That's it! G'bye! He's fired!" Betty defends Matt but he doesn't care and walks out. Betty chases after him and he tells her that he's lost his passion for publishing. He wants to pursue art. The planetarium calls – they can do the photo shoot. Good thing cuz Marc was freaking out.
Molly wants a beach wedding in Bora Bora but the planner will need eight or nine months to organize it. Daniel wants it done faster not matter how much it costs.
Ignacio pours his heart out to Elena hoping to change her mind about moving to California. He asks her to marry him and she says yes!!!!
The photo shoot for the YETI project is chaos. Betty complains to Daniel that Adele's manager doesn't want her to perform. Matt hasn't shown up. Daniel mopes that Molly cancelled the wedding because the plans were getting complicated. He wishes he could marry her right now. Betty convinces him to do it right there. They're all at the planetarium. They have photographers, food and wedding gowns from MODE. It's amazing - Adele even sings! You have to see for yourselves!!!
