As Cheyenne's (Nichole Bloom) due date nears, the staff can't help but see how uncomfortable she is, but because Cloud 9 doesn't offer paid maternity leave, she's forced to come to work. Jonah (Ben Feldman), never content to leave well enough alone, says they should do something about it and convinces Amy (America Ferrera) to call corporate. While on the call, Jonah makes the mistake of saying "union" and prompts corporate to freak out. The next day, Steve, a union buster, arrives on their doorstep.
As expected, Steve does nothing to help Cheyenne, but after she gives birth in the store and tells Glenn (Mark McKinney) she's still coming to work the next day, Glenn puts his foot down. He sneakily suspends Cheyenne for six weeks with pay; unfortunately, Steve sees the whole thing. Glenn is immediately fired and asks Amy to replace him. But Amy won't stand for it and organizes a walk out with all of the store's employees. All of the store's employees except one that is - Dina (Lauren Ash). Desperate to be back in a position of power, Dina accepts the manager role and fires everyone who walked out.
