Ethan thinks Don (Kathy's ex) is after money, but Kathy and her dad want Ethan to stay out of it. Omar asks Adrian to consider moving to New York, but she decides she can't because she needs to be her own person. Ben tries to win Amy over during their college visit to Hudson University, but Amy doesn't want to be bothered. Ben befriends a college freshman, BEBE, who doesn't see Amy's appeal. Amy meets with FRED, a financial aid advisor at Hudson University, and realizes that because she applied early decision she has to accept attendance or she won't be refunded her two thousand dollar application fee. If Amy goes to Hudson she can't share her dorm room with Ricky and John, but they also can't afford an apartment in NYC. Ben applied to Hudson early decision too, so he also has to attend. Fred plants that seed that maybe Ben can share an apartment with Amy. Ricky meets with his professor to hand in a late paper, and she tells him the college has a day care on campus. Adrian warns Ricky that Amy doesn't really want to get married, what she really wants is freedom and time to find herself. A lawyer named JOHNNY reaches out to Jack to suggest suing the school for punitive damages, but Reverend Stone will not allow it. Amy tells Ben he's stealing her dream if he goes to Hudson University, especially if she can't. Ricky tries to figure out a plan for Amy to go to school in New York, but Bunny thinks he's looking for a way out of marrying her without feeling guilty. Ethan tricks Don to admit that he's really after money and doesn't care about Kathy or the baby.
