Rush Episode 1.09 Dirty Work

Rush comes to the aid of Rebecca Thomas, a teenager in the throes of labor. During delivery, he ignores a call from Warren. Though the child stops breathing, Rush performs an emergency procedure on the way to the hospital and saves its life.

When Rush learns that Sarah is in search of a sperm donor, he insists on accompanying her to an appointment at a fertility clinic. A cynical Rush finds fault in every potential donor Sarah looks at.

Back at the hotel, Rush finally takes the call from his father. Warren needs his help getting a wealthy friend out of trouble- with discretion. Rush shows up at the home of Gordon Klaus, a married man whose mistress is need of urgent care due to an intoxicated accident. Rush treats her, disgusted with Klaus.

Steffi surprises Alex at work, interested in getting together again. Alex is firmly against the idea. In the newborn wing, Rush marvels at Rebecca's baby. Her father arrives and informs Rush that the child will be given up for adoption since Rebecca can't handle the responsibility.

Alex comes home to find the ever-persistent Steffi in his driveway, wanting more than a date. When Rebecca runs away with her baby, Rush finds the teen and offers her some advice on how to earn back a family's trust. Later, Warren returns to the hotel to have a drink with his son, impressed with how he handled Klaus. Rush makes a painful admission, resulting in a baby step towards reconciliation with his father.

That night, Rush and Sarah discuss the possibility of having a baby together. Determined to turn over a new leaf, Rush trashes part of his toxic past. Meanwhile, an unwelcome guest breaks into Eve's apartment to pay her a visit.
