Parks and Recreation Episode 4.06 End of the World

Herb, the leader of a cult called "Reasonableism," tells Leslie that the following day will be the end of the world. At precisely dawn, Zorp will arrive to free humans from their flesh. In honor of this critical moment, the cult plans on holding a vigil at the local park. When Leslie tells Chris about the event, he insists that he and Ben join Leslie. He doesn't like the sound of these "Zorpies" at all. Privately, Ben tells Leslie he'll go to the vigil but he won't stay long. It's clear he and Leslie don't hang out much anymore.

Tom and Jean-Ralphio mourn the loss of Entertainment 720. They started out with $450,000 and now have a measly $5,000 apiece. They decide to throw one last party to celebrate Entertainment 720... and the end of the world, of course. Meanwhile, Andy tells April about his bucket list. He wants to fly first class and make an amazing grilled cheese sandwich. But first things first: he goes to the bank and holds a thousand dollars in cash. Because they're all one dollar bills, he feels like a billionaire.

Ron's sympathetic to the Zorpies for two reasons: he believes in absolute freedom of religion, and the cult shares his love of flutes. Ron visits the park and sells the Zorpies some of his handmade flutes. Meanwhile Tom and Jean-Ralphio plan their over-the-top party, including bouncers, loud music and DJ Blunt. Too bad they don't have any guests.

Shauna Malwae-Tweep interviews Leslie, Chris and Ben about the Zorpies. With Ben out of earshot, Shauna asks Leslie if Ben's single. Unhinged, Leslie sputters through a nonsensical response. It's clear Leslie's crushed. Later, when she sees Shauna flirting with Ben, Leslie decides she's got to keep them apart. But when Leslie hears that Ben and Shauna are going to Tom's party, she realizes there's nothing she can do to stop the two from hanging out.

Tom's End of the World party is underway and it seems people are finally showing up. There's even a caged tiger on the premises. Meanwhile, Ron plays the flute for an admiring group of Zorpies while Leslie tries to stall Ben's trip to meet Shauna at Tom's party. Back at Andy's house, he continues through his bucket list. He even indulges his fantasy to play an action star.

Leslie brings Ben to a remote gas station in an attempt to stop him from meeting Shauna at Tom's party. Ben tells Leslie he knows what she's doing and tells her it's too hard on him to hang out with her alone. Leslie agrees but it's clear she's devastated. Meanwhile, at the vigil, Ann and Chris share a moment when she tells him her views on reincarnation. Looks like everyone's getting philosophical in light of the end of the world. Later, Jean-Ralphio invites Lucy to the party. She immediately flirts with Tom, making him a very happy camper.

At the park, Leslie tells Ron about her mishandling of the Ben situation. She had no business trying to keep him from Shauna. Leslie just wants to be with him and it's killing her to think of him with someone else. Meanwhile, intent on finishing Andy's bucket list, Andy and April take a road trip to the Grand Canyon. Back at Entertainment 720, Tom's party wraps up and Lucy kisses him goodbye. Moments later, Leslie arrives at Ben's to confess: Shauna thinks he's cute and that's why Leslie took him to a creepy gas station the night before.
