The Office Episode 6.14 The Banker

A potential buyer sends a fact checker to Scranton's Dunder Mifflin office and it's up to Michael to make the place look appealing and valuable. Pam points out that since New York's offices have closed, Michael holds the highest-ranking position at the company. A very scary thought.

Eric the fact checker stops by Toby's desk and has questions regarding the company's record on workplace safety. Toby's mind immediately travels back and thinks about all the times accidents have occurred on the property, including Michael hitting Meredith with his car and Dwight practically burning the building down to teach his co-workers a lesson.

Eric's next question is about inter-office happiness. Toby once again immediately flashes back, remembering Andy punching a hole in the Dunder Mifflin wall and Pam's slap to Michael's face over his dating her mom.

The next subject that comes up is sexual harassment in the workplace. Toby tries to bypass the subject, but lies and says there have been no issues. Even though he is thinking about all of Michael's "That's what she said" jokes, as well as other questionable times, including Meredith's idea of "casual Friday" that included flashing everybody.

Michael interrupts Eric's evaluation with Toby to see what Toby is revealing. Eric's next topic is company waste. Michael assures Eric the company never wastes time or product. Toby thinks back on Office Olympics and all of Jim's pranks on Dwight.

The next topic that Eric wants to bring up is inter-office romances. Michael and Toby both freeze up and immediately think of the turbulent Ryan and Kelly romance, the infamous dinner party Jim and Jan held, and the Angela, Andy, and Dwight triangle, not to mention other relationships in the office.

As Eric wraps up his evaluation and leaves, Michael admits he feels sorry for him because how does one person rate the value of the employees at Dunder Mifflin. After all, Jim, Pam, Kevin, Angela, Andy, Erin, Phyllis, Darryl, Oscar, Kelly, Ryan, and Kevin are one of a kind and all special.
