With Jim on his honeymoon, Kevin has been making himself at home in Jim's office. It started off with Kevin just sneaking into the office to fart, but one day, he just stayed. After all, Jim's office is nicer than Kevin's real-life home.

When an older Italian man comes in hoping to sell Michael some business insurance, Dwight and Andy automatically suspect the guy has ties to the mafia. Oscar says the guys are jumping to conclusions, but Dwight and Andy start making Michael paranoid.

Oscar cannot believe Michael actually thinks Mr. Grotti is part of the mafia, and the only two people who will take his side are on their honeymoon. Out of desperation, he calls up Pam and Jim in Puerto Rico to vent to them about Michael's latest antics. Pam angrily reminds Oscar they are on their honeymoon and hangs up.

A credit card company calls Jim's office to inform him his card is currently being used in Puerto Rico. Kevin panics, thinking he'll get in trouble for using Jim's office, and makes it sound like he's Jim. The credit card company tells Kevin they'll be cutting off his stolen credit card and sending Jim Halpert a new one. Kevin panics some more, but it's too late.

Michael agrees to meet with Mr. Grotti as long as Dwight and Andy accompany him. Andy comes prepared in full costume as Pat the mechanic, armed with a tire iron for protection, especially because Michael's plan is to turn down Mr. Grotti's insurance proposal.

Michael comes to the snap decision to take Mr. Grotti's insurance offer. He comes back to the office and calls an irritated Jim to tell him he's in trouble with the mob. Jim intentionally loses Michael on his phone. Michael now needs to find a way to turn down Mr. Grotti's insurance, because he can't afford it.

Andy and Dwight are able to convince Michael that Mr. Grotti has no mafia connections and he needs to turn down the insurance offer. Dwight and Andy listen in as Michael accuses Mr. Grotti of being a liar and telling him he sucks. Dwight gets worried as Michael keeps provoking Mr. Grotti over the phone and tells him to wrap it up.

After Dwight and Andy inform Michael they made the story up about doing research on Mr. Grotti, Michael gets worried. Michael knows he should be mad and Andy and Dwight for what they did, but instead, he has a story for the rest of the office of how he defended himself against the mafia.

Kevin is still worried about his gaff with Jim's credit card so he calls up the newlyweds one last time. A frantic Pam tells Kevin she has no time to talk because she's busy dealing with their cancelled credit cards. Kevin doesn't come clean and instead just tells Pam to tell Jim he said, "Hi."
