Synopsis

SAM WATERSTON JOINS THE CAST IN SEASON PREMIERE -- Detectives Logan (Chris Noth) and Briscoe (Jerry Orbach) are confronted with an unethical doctor who gives false hope -- and sometimes premature death -- to her patients. At the trial new Assistant District Attorney Jack McCoy (Academy Award and Emmy nominee Sam Waterston, The Killing Fields, NBC's I'll Fly Away) convinces the victim's husband to testify against the well-intentioned doctor.
