V REALITY SERIES MURDER RESULTS IN REAL WORLD OF HURT -- Detectives Briscoe (Jerry Orbach) and Green (Jesse L. Martin) sift through the evidence when a reality TV program centering on a houseful of young people runs amok after one of the housemates murders another. However, the subsequent prosecution led by assistant D.A. McCoy (Sam Waterston) suspects that the real culprits are the producer and TV network executives who instigated the bad blood and encouraged hostility among the participants to ratchet up the drama -- and ratings.
