It's the morning after V-Day, and Casey's hard at work finishing her Personal Statement for her law school application. She's on version 342 but still hasn't quite nailed it. Joel from the campaign office takes a look at it and declares it cookie-cutter. He tells her she's paying too much attention to "statement" and not enough to "personal." She hears him, but she's afraid of missing the Friday deadline at this rate. Ashleigh's hurt when Casey, in her frenzy to get her app done, blows her off -- for Katherine, of all people. Katherine just got in to Yale Law, so Casey thinks her help is essentials to getting into CRU Law. Ash thinks Casey's focusing on her future at the expense of her past and the people who know her best. After they have a meltdown at their freshman dorm reunion, Casey goes to see Katherine, who thinks it's inevitable that people grow apart as they leave college and move on. But Casey's not sure she's ready for that. Later, Casey and Ash find each other in their old dorm laundry room, where they first met in freshmen year. As they reminisce, Casey realizes that her best friend, and the key to her statement, has been right beside her all along. Grant discovers $500 is missing from the Omega Chi petty cash fund. Tension in the house is pretty bad, and everyone's blaming everyone. Grant thinks Evan did it, but Calvin can't believe that. After an amonymous amnesty program, the cash turns up but Calvin marked Evan's anonymous envelope, and guess who the thief is? Evan comes clean privately, but Calvin's disappointed by his big brother. He's also worried that Evan's going to get his heart broken by Rebecca. Yep, Evan took the money to buy her that necklace, the one that drove her off into the night to Beaver. So, yes, Rebecca slept with Beaver (much to his delight). There's only one little problem: She lost the necklace. Cappie asks her what's up with cheating on Chambers. She doesn't see it as cheating; she's been honest with Evan, sorta. Cappie thinks she's nuts, but he wants to be there when Chambers finds out. Cappie and the KTs habe their own problem to deal with. While creatively getting rid of the V-Day bash trash (over the back wall), they discover they have new neighbors: Professor Tom Hildendorf, his lovely wife, Margie, and their cute UNDERAGE daughter, Hannah. Cappie declares the KT house doomed unless they can rid of them. Rusty thinks that if they just play nice, it'll all be fine. He launches a plan to make Tom "one of the guys" in hopes of getting some slack cut. He also thinks Tom might be a good faculty adviser for Cappie, who still hasn't declared a major. All goes well... at first. But when Tom won't leave the KT house and Margie comes looking for him (he's passed out), high jinks ensue. With the help of Rebecca (who's looking for her necklace), Beaver, and Hannah (and her new squeeze, Dumptruck), they get Tom back into his house undetected. And -- oh, look! -- Rebecca's necklace is trapped in his chest hair. Cappie snatches it for her. The next day, Tom comes by to thank them and declare that his frat days are done. In fact, this part of his life has been over for a long time. Cappie wants to know if he misses it. Tom says sure, but he's not that guy anymore. We all have to grow up sometime. Cappie ponders this news. Cappie runs into Rebecca and gives her the necklace. He asks why she's wearing it if she's down on love. She says she likes it, repeating that Evan knows the score with her, even if he doesn't know specifics. She counters by asking what's his excuse for carrying around a major form he doesn't really wanna fill out, when they both know he's not ready to change his way either. Casey takes her awesome new personal statement to Joel for a read. He thinks it's perfect. In her excitement, she gives him a hug that starts off friendly, turns into something else somewhere in the middle, and ends with guilt as she thinks of Cappie. She makes a hasty retreat, excited about law school but once again confused about her future with Cappie.
