As her new firm struggles to find its footing, Alicia must race the clock and battle a Kafkaesque deportation apparatus to save an undocumented immigrant from certain death is he's sent back to Mexico, where a violent criminal has a contract out on his head. A chance encounter with Natalie Flores leads Eli to rekindle their stunted romance, leading to complications with his professional decisions - a matter noticed by Peter's Chair of the Ethics Commission, Marilyn, who brings the issue to his attention.
