Melinda and Jim attempt to take a vacation by going on a cruise on the SS Claridon, an old ocean liner on its final voyage before being scrapped. However, once aboard Melinda notices that the newlywed couple in the stateroom next to them is haunted by a potentially dangerous ghost. Despite being a trip about relaxation and trying to conceive a baby, Melinda can't help but try and get the ghost to leave the newlywed's alone and cross over. After much investigation Melinda discovers that the ghost was a young woman, Lorelei, who had fallen in love with the owner of the ocean liner, Cliff, after they had spent a magical week together in Rio 30 years earlier. Lorelei and Cliff had to part ways when the SS Claridon returned to the US but Lorelei had snuck on board to surprise Cliff one last time, and had witnessed a kiss between Cliff and the fiancé his family was forcing him to marry. Not understanding that Cliff had just broken off the engagement, and was kissing his fiance goodbye, Lorelei went to flee the ship but before she could she had slipped and fallen down an air shaft where she died. Ever since, she had haunted the room where she saw Cliff kissing another woman, trying to win back the man she thought had scorned her. Melinda is able to help Cliff and Lorelei reconnect and Lorelei is able to cross over.
