After Troy displays his plumbing prowess, Jerry the plumber urges Troy to pursue it full-time. Jerry convinces Troy to unclog one toilet with him to see if he has a passion for plumbing. Moments later, two gay men ask Pierce to sign their box of Hawthorne Wipes. Turns out Miss Urbana Champaign has a hit song devoted to Hawthorne Wipes. She's made them - and Pierce - gay icons!

Pierce enters the study group wearing a shirt emblazoned with Urbana Champaign's name. Pierce has become a gay advocate solely because his gay fans are buying tons of Hawthorne Wipes. Pierce is even holding a "Gay Bash," a party devoted to the launch of Hawthorne Pride Wipes. Meanwhile, Troy expertly unclogs a toilet with Jerry. Jerry tries to convince Troy to become a fellow plumber.

While Pierce prepares for the party, his father Cornelius appears out of nowhere. He does not approve of the party, the gays or Pierce's open-mindedness. He manages to offend everyone in the study group before forcing Pierce to cancel the gay party. Meanwhile, Vice Dean Laybourne and his gang of cohorts try to convince Troy to join the secret society of Greendale Air-Conditioner Repairman.

Jeff "un-cancels" the gay party and forces Pierce to bond with his new gay fan base. Pierce lets loose on the dance floor and even appreciates a rainbow-colored portrait of himself. Will Pierce have the nerve to disobey his dad?

While Pierce prepares for the party, his father Cornelius appears out of nowhere. He does not approve of the party, the gays or Pierce's open-mindedness. He manages to offend everyone in the study group before forcing Pierce to cancel the gay party. Meanwhile, Vice Dean Laybourne and his gang of cohorts try to convince Troy to join the secret society of Greendale Air-Conditioner Repairman.

Urbana invites Pierce onstage to address the gay community. In the middle of his speech, Cornelius arrives. Scared, Pierce tells the crowd that Hawthorne Wipes will be an exclusively straight product from now on. Then Pierce collapses to the floor, seemingly a victim of a heart attack.

At the hospital, Jeff and Cornelius stand at Pierce's bedside. Jeff insults Cornelius and criticizes his homophobia. The insults actually kill Cornelius; he falls to the floor in a heap! At the funeral, Pierce finally makes peace with his dead father. Now everyone can move forward and accept gay people together. Meanwhile, Troy shuns Laybourne and Jerry and decides he's better off alone. Laybourne vows to lure Troy into the Air-Conditioning School.
