Voight (Jason Beghe) encourages Lindsay (Sophia Bush) to meet with Dr. Charles (Oliver Platt), the Chief of Psychiatry from Chicago Med; Lindsay remains closed off.

At the District, Commander Fischer confronts Voight with accusations Lindsay's mother Bunny (Markie Post) has leveled: that Voight lied in a 2001 case against drug dealer James Beckett. Voight tries to quiet Bunny, but the damage is done - she's already been to the dealer's attorney.

Downstairs, a distraught father named Jeff Frazier makes a desperate move to find his missing daughter by taking Mouse hostage at gunpoint. Fischer and Voight set up a command center and put SWAT on alert. The squad begins hunting down the daughter, with leads provided by her father.

On the street, Dawson (Jon Seda) and Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) trace a credit card charge on the daughter's card and uncover a prostitution ring. Mouse keeps the father engaged and calm long enough to disarm him. The detectives find the girl at a bus station, despondent and ready to kill herself with a gun stolen from the brothel where she was held. The detectives bring her father to the station where she surrenders. The father is booked, but on a lesser charge.

The day is a win for the team - but for Voight it's also the start of a new battle, as drug dealer James Beckett is released from jail based on Bunny's new information.

Voight joins his son for a family night out. But as Voight puts his key in the ignition, a telltale clicking sound tells him all he needs to know: bomb. The car explodes, and everyone scatters.
