Danny and his new partner Candice McElroy work their first case together in which a man is badly beaten and thrown out of a moving car with multiple rat bites. Despite not getting any cooperation from the victim, Danny and Candice are able to work their leads and find that the man was just a pawn in a union kickback scheme that was trying to send a message. When Danny discusses the case at the Reagan family dinner, he enlists the help of Erin who leads him toward a powerful socialite who was controlling the union charity kickbacks. Frank turns the tables on a bigoted radio host broadcasting from New York City when he assigns only racially diverse police officers to provide security for the event.
